Avatar: The Trials of Serpent's Pass |
The Trials of Serpent's Pass Here is a very interesting game based on episode 32. In it you play as Toph who needs to guide her friends through the dangerous Serpent's Pass. You raise and drop blocks to make the path crossable but there always seems to be that one person who's weight crushes the block below them and you need to go back and save them. The game play is surprisingly addicting even though, at times, repetitive. The fact that the people you save are not generic, but actually Sokka, Katara, Suki, Aang and the earth kingdom family definitely add to it. I personally found myself obsess with this game until i finally won and I would say it is my favorite of the games currently out for Avatar.

| Avatar: Four Nations Tournament |
Four Nations Tournament This game is virtually pong with bending powers! You get to choose between Aang, Katara, Zuko and Toph and fight your way through different tournament floors and the three other elements. You play 5 rounds and the winner of that round gets a point, the person with 2 points first wins. The game is kind of long but you really only face three different people so I guess it makes sense... One of the best parts of this game is that each person gets two moves that they can use such as freezing the enemy or throwing rocks at them. Apart from each bender having specific qualities, the areas do as well, making it easier to be in your home turf. Another very cool feature about this game is that you can also play it with a friend using the other keys. The game's difficulty is about medium but it does require a lot of time. I suggest taking a look at it and trying out all the characters bending abilities. |

Fire Nation Barge Barrage Maybe it's just me but I found this game pretty difficult and hard to control. You play as Prince Zuko and go around conquering assorted water tribes and earth kingdom out posts while watching out for things like sea dragons and their towers that constantly attack you. I feel that the idea for this game was not half bad but it could been planned much better and the controls could have been better by far! Despite these flaws it's not that bad of game to play but only if you are willing to get used to the controls after dying numerous times. Also I think they could picked a better title... is it just me or have the last couple titles started with the same letter...? |
| Avatar: Ashes in the Air |
Ashes in the Air This game requires some puzzle skills and for that I enjoyed it! You move Aang around in order to blow fire over to katara so that she can extinguish it with her waterbending powers. (at this time in the show Aang could waterbend so i don't know why he doesn't just do it but I guess that wouldn't make for an interesting game) You only have a few airbending strikes so it is all about counting them out and using the surroundings to your advantage. The downfall to this game is that The beginning it very easy and it takes a while to get to the more challenging rounds but after that it is a very fun puzzle game. A very nice feature of this game is that you have a couple of chances to redo a level so one stupid mistake doesn't always send you back to start. |
| Avatar: Bending Battle |
Bending Battle Well this game takes a little getting used to but i can be fun. You play as Aang who is fighting Zuko one on one...and then one on six! It is sort of RPG like with turn based attacks that I am still a little confused about. You have three different types of airbending attacks that can attack Zuko and maybe everyone else. I had a very hard time with this at first but one of the most important things to remember is to use your combinations after you level up. (They are found by clicking the menu button) If you just do combination after combination it is pretty hard not to win, especially if you use Katara, Sokka, Appa and Momo to your advantage. The game could have been explained more in the rules but you figure it out after a while. Just remember that Zuko is your target, not the other firebenders and you can win a little easier. Yeah...it's worth playing. |
| Avatar: Fortress Fight |
Fortress Fight It's fun but unless you are a math wiz it turns into a guessing game. You get the choice of either being Water Tribe, Earth Kingdom, or Fire Nation and from there you launch boulders, fire, and ice at each other in order to get the most points and destroy the other person's base. Multi player mode in this is one of it's best points because it is all turn based so you don't have weird feeling of both playing on the same key board. This game seems to last a lot longer than it really should though, especially if you aren't playing with a friend. It doesn't take that much time to win and usually you can figure it out with out even reading the directions. Picking the rock you will use has it's strategic points but at the same time you aim by trial and error. This game is fun but I would suggest a friend to play it with. |
| Avatar Hangman |
Avatar Hangman Well this game is so easy that it's hard to even rate. You are attacked by Zuko and unless you name the right things I guess Zuko will burn Aang. The words are very limited and are only really names, places and a random thing here and there like "tattoo". The names and places only go up to the 8th episode so there really isn't enough things to make it interesting. If you really feel like it you can try this game but if you play it too much they will just start reusing words... |
| Avatar Word Search |
Avatar Word Search Well this is exactly what it is...a word search. There isn't anything interesting or special about it, you just look for Avatar names and things in a jumble of letters. Word searchs are never impossible to solve because eventualy you ahve to find the answer but this take a long time! There is no action anything so it doesn't even make good puzzle game. Teh board is also very wide so you have a lot to look through, making this much harder than it should have been. You can try it but I bet you have something better to do with your time than look for words about avatar...I sure did. |
| Avatar: Treetop Trouble |
Treetop Trouble This is one of those games that you wished they worked on before releasing. You play as Sokka and it is your job to run around the tree tops with terrible controls and get to the town to warn them before the timer goes out. It is a side scrolling game taht follows you section by section so sometimes you find yourself jumping off screen, hoping there winn be a platform. You need perfic timing to do anything in this game and it often glitches out of certain platforms. If you get easily frustrated this game is not for you at all... Littlerain's Rating: 4.9 Status: Given Up |
| Avatar: Autumn Twilight |
Autumn Twilight Well this is very interesting and fun game that just requires some downloading. You can choose between four different all new characters and you run around in a nicely animated 3D evironment beating up fire nation soldiers. A very cool feature is the back stories that follow each character and how it adds more depth to the entire avatar world. The gameplay was surprising similar to the new avatar video game except it is much more simplistc. I strongly recomend playing this game and beating it as at least ne of the characters. |
